Stocktaking is one of those chores which all business have to do, but which everybody hates.

We have engineered our stocktaking process to be simple and easy to use, which helps customers save time and money.

Step 1 - Stock Snapshot

The first step in a stock take, is creating a snapshot of the current stock levels. The snapshot allows the system to calculate the difference between original stock and the counted items.

Step 2 - Stock Count

Counting the stock quantities of every product in your shop, is the second step in a stock take. The stock levels can be either entered manually or using a barcode hand-held terminal (BHT), to scan the product barcodes.

Once the products have been scanned, you can import the data into the system using a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file.

Step 3 - Stock Compare

Once the stock has been counted, the third step in a stock take is comparing the counted quantities against the stock snapshot. Comparing the counted stock against the snapshot provides a discrepancy report, highlighting any products which have different stock levels.

Step 4 - Stock Update

Updating your stock levels is the final step in a stock take. Although our system can update your stock levels automatically, some customers prefer to recheck the stock and update the figures manually.

The Opticon OPL9728 handheld terminal is sealed up to IP 54 standards and collects your information at an impressive 100 scans per second. The on-board memory is large enough to accommodate an entire day of scanning. An integral real-time clock enables each record to be tagged with a date/time stamp for accuracy.

Various cradles are available providing different communication and charging options. The IrDA interface within the cradle allows data transfer when the scanner is inserted for charging. The multiple station cradle permits charging of up to 5 terminals simultaneously.

The eTill Ticket Printing module is used to create and print Barcode Ticket Labels which will be attached to your products.

The Ticket Printer module is very easy to use and is included with eTill Back Office as standard.

Stock Ticketing main features:

	Customisable Barcodes You can select up to 6 different Product Fields to be printed out on each label		Standard A4 Printers 40 Labels per sheet; 65 Labels per sheet; 14 Labels per sheet; 27 Labels per sheet, or customise your own barcodes.
	Select Printed Fields Category, Department, Description, Price, SKU, PLU, etc		Dedicated Barcode Printers 40mm x 25mm label; 45mm x 45mm and Swing Ticket labels.
	Sort the Barcodes Sort by PLU, Description, Category, Department, etc		Purge Barcodes You can either purge all or selected barcodes from the list.
	Print Options Print all barcodes or only selected barcodes. Select Printer Use a normal standard printer or a dedicated barcode printer to print out the barcodes.		Remake Barcodes You can also Remake Barcodes on the Fly. This means that if you need more barcodes you simply need to select the product and then enter the number of barcodes you want to create.

Forward orders can be processed while at trade shows or on your return, so when the stock is delivered it can be quickly booked in and barcodes produced.

Keeping track of stock deliveries provides you with accurate 'sell-thru' figures and any highlights any items not received from the supplier.

Flexible Barcode Printing and Tagging

With eTill you can customise your own barcodes to include your own logos, images of the item, add text to include other details of the product such as price, description, category, department, PLU & SKU.

You can also 'tag supplier barcode to items so you do not need to print barcodes at all.

Remote Access and Multi User Operation

With the use of broadband technology you can access the database from your home, on the road and a the other locations so you can always know how trade is without being in the shop.

Our client access solution allows up to 200 users to perform different tasks at the same time from multiple computers.

Real Time (live) Reporting Analysis

All the data processed and stored on the back office is real time, so if a till or web transaction is carried out eTill updates stock and sales data instantly after each transaction.

As we have developed our solutions with feedback from our ever growing customer base, we have released a comprehensive range of reports pertinent to the retail industry.

With eTill you can also create and customise your own reports using the in-built SQL report writer and export to various file formats for use with accountancy packages.

Step by Step Stock Take Procedure

Performing Stock Takes could not be easier, eTill has a four-step stock taking process that allows you to trade whilst a count is underway.

Stock counts can be carried out manually or by using a wide range of Barcode Handheld Terminals (BHT).

When you want to run a end of season sale you can simply add products to a promotion by brand, department, category etc. without reticking. For multi branch solutions you cans set different prices for different shops or areas.
